First I have to say that I travelled first class from
Barcelona to Toulouse. It was pretty cool, nice big leather chairs, radio and
then later they played a movie. Gemma, Hector and I got there fairly late,
between 9:30 and 10:00. Dana and her friend Theresa (who is also doing this
program) met us at the train station and we found a bite to eat. We “got to”
watch T.V. that night for a bit and get a taste of what French television is
      like. We ...

NORWAY: Nothing to do...Why not travel?

Since I am still impatiently waiting to start school, have already deep cleaned the apartment (more than once), and can't really find work for such a short period of time, my level of boredom has reached levels I previously thought impossible. Whether stemming from this boredom or in trying to find a feasible solution to my problem, I began perusing Sky-scanner just to imagine places I might one day visit. And then, as if calling to me, I began to see ...

I have finally arrived in France, and am completely overwhelmed! I think because I have been looking forward to this for so long and now it is finally here, it is like it really isn't happening. Hard to believe I only have three weeks to go. Anyway, the weather is exactly how I thought it would be - sunny and warm it was actually a bit of a shock yesterday getting off the plane into the warm weather. I got to my hotel and it's clean and comfortable, with a lovely firm bed, but I still ...

... dinner. I had duck with vegetables and Rob has the famous dish, cassolet, (casserole of pork and fava beans). We returned to the bar as we wanted to give the owner a small gift from Australia. There were now quite a few locals in there so we had conversations with others, including a retired chef. Of course there were more drinks involved, including some complimentary ones poured by the owner! Next day we continued our travels in the Pyrenees, with the task of delivering a gift to a ...

... have liked. we found ourselves doing a lap of the city square! Eventually we found our hotel and parked in the car park opposite. Meet up with Paul and Ro for a nice well earned gin and tonic before venturing out for dinner. This was a harder task than what we thought as there really wasn't much on offer. Eventually found a place and then it was time to call it quits. Tomorrow we are having a quite day in Montauban before we begin the boat trip on ...
