          ... it sorted out, some how. By this time the heavens had opened and it was bucketing down. So looked up where a nice aire only to find when we were nearly there, we were the wrong side of the river and a sign saying weight limit, 3.5t, we didn't want to chance it.           ... is a fine example of a Renaissance palace of the time. In addition to being of interest for its architecture, the building also houses the Bemberg Foundation, which is a major art gallery in the city. Many Impressionist and Post-Impressionist works are housed here amongst many other treasures.

          ... both said they enjoyed the exhibit and took away an appreciation of what these men and women did to stand up and fight and die for their beliefs and country when they felt the Vichy Government of Southern France and the German occupation of Northern France was not in their interests. We are all looking forward to returning to Toulouse to visit their Resistance Museum, which has received some very good reviews.

          ... shopping! The supermarkets here make ours look like corner shops so I just wander around muttering at the low prices and large selection available.

          Lucky for us, Grandmere has a pool. The water was a bit cold but of course the kids love it.

          We spent the evening with Corrine (Oli's cousin) and Des and their two kids. Awesome to catch up. Great company and the kids kept each other amused for hours.
