Left the site around 9am after squeezing our way around the site to the exit. Stopped at Lidl just up the road to fill up on necessaries , milk, cheese, bread oh and cheap plonk n beer. Before making our way to the autoroute, drove ourselves up though the centre of France (well Andy did) through the Loire and up to Normandy for our very last overnighter in France. Today we road the Route du Cidre - a 50km loop around the Cidre vineyards of Normandy. It was fun! There areas many gorgeous little villages, and heaps of Zebra houses! Very typical of the region. We arrived at the final Cidre place, Genevieve. The man was lovely, knew we were Aussies - "cadel evans!!". We bought a bottle of Cidre and sat on his lawn enjoying it in the sun. In the afternoon we went to town and shared a Nutella crepe. ...

We were hungry when we arrived so of course, managed to find the patisserie for a chocolate croissant! So good!!!!!! We wandered around the gorgeous little town, bought a bottle of cider, and enjoyed it back at the van with some baguette and cheese. We stayed at a free Aire just down the road from the town. It was busy, we got almost the last ...

It's time to stop for a few days and tomorrow we are riding to Deauville and Trouville, two towns popular with the Parisians who like to escape the hot summers and descend here on the coast with a little coastal breeze. It's about a 14km ride there so lets hope the storms predicted don't ...

... to Honfleur. Its on the coast, where the Seine river meets the English channel. What a beautiful town. We walked around and had lunch. Next on to our hotel in Luc-Sur-Mer, which is right on the coast near Sword beach of the D-Day landings. We stay here for 3 nights. Tomorrow we will be going to as many beaches and museums about D-Day as we can fit in.
