Day 4 - VILLERS SUR MER TO ALEXAIN

Woke up this morning forgetting that we'd moved to the other side of the road and wondered why people were walking down the middle of the road then realised that they were on the pavement.

What I thought was good yesterday when I saw it was a big wheely bin. Why you may ask? Well, obviously the local authority realised that as there were so many vans parked up here there would be a need for rubbish disposal and so had provided a bin.

We were to set off for Rennes today and then make our way to Villers-sur-Mer tomorrow. Instead I stayed at home and Mike went to Rennes himself. He spent the night in the camping car locked in the car park of ADS Loisir. We were to have a Gaslow tank fitted on the Friday morning.

DAY EIGHT - SATURDAY Today we said goodbye to Cath and Mal (or Al, not sure which), they were continuing with their holiday. Mike tried to fix the solar panel but even with the new regulator it still wasn't charging the batteries. We left for home and just as we arrived Pete and Lorna turned up to check on the sheep as they had misbehaved themselves the day before, getting heads stuck in fences and jumping fences. Here endeth these ...

... out for the week, and a couple from Australia on a 6 month tour of Europe. It was great touching base with them.

Tomorrow I plan to visit Amboise but knew it was too far to reach today (France is huge!), so I made my way to Laval and have stopped here for the night. In my effort to loose one weight this trip I have stopped for a pint and a burger, not sure where I read about this diet but it seems very nice!
