So. Today we once again started a little late...again.
But it had nothing to do with the fact that we were up late supporting the local winery.... erm
I felt like the whole day was slow and that jan was constantly egging me on. Otherwise im sure I wouldn't have made it this far.
The landscape was super hilly, and I felt like at the end of each hill, there was another ...

... the high, glockenspiel sounds of the clock bells are ringing the hour, here at Givet, a lovely fortified town on the edge of the Meuse, bordering France and Belgium. We are parked on the edge of the river overlooking at the attractive old town, and can see the boats chugging past.

We still marvel at the wonderful places we have seen, and the many beautiful, park-up spots we have been able to enjoy: mulit - million dollar views for free. Oh la la! ...

... room for Charlotte and Bobby, our bedroom has a balcony if only we were awake enough to have a bottle of wine lol. When we arrived we checked in and got ourselves into the pool in double quick time. That was a lovely treat after all those miles. For tea we went into a nearby village called Florenville. We found a great Italian and had a beautiful meal! Yum!!! Bobby It was a long day travelling but we got there in the end to our luxurious ...

Had a wonderful night's sleep as the hotel was very comfortable. We met Melinda and Michael for breakfast and then went our own ways. Bruno and I decided to go on a bus tour around the city as we had been here before, and thought this way we would see something different. The first bus took us around the champs élysées and then we changed buses to go to Montmartre because we hadn't been there last time.
When we arrived there, the amount of people was chaotic! Very touristy area but ...

    Overnight at Charleville-de-Meziers

Monday morning dawns clear and sunny, and we set off for Charlesville de Meziers.

Apart from some heavy traffic, on the outskirts of Lille, a completely uneventful drive.

The Aire at Charlesville de Meziers is full, so, we have to use the adjacent campsite (Camping Mount Olympus ).

We have time for a walk into town, and a beer, before the rain starts.
