... about is how quickly I could get into that beautiful blue water. Some of you might know this but I spent most of my childhood in any fresh water body I could find, I love the water and even more so when it's refreshing. Don't get me wrong, salt water is nice but freshwater can not be beat. Upon getting there we rented a paddle boat to get us further into the gorge, we also used this as our mobile base for jumping in the water and ...

... in kitchens other than our own always makes us appreciate the nice tools and appliances we have. Everything at this apartment is Ikea brand so although some items look nice, they don't function well. The oven wasn't well insulated, the knives were dull, there is no garbage disposal in the sink. The head of lettuce had an incredible amount of dirt trapped in the leaves, and of course there was no salad spinner (#firstworldproblems). ...

... Sunday market this morning and picked up dinner as tonight we go back to the Palais for the sound and light show in the courtyard of the place called Les Luminessences D'Avignon. This show is a must see even though it is all in French. We think that they should create an app where you could download the words in whatever language you speak.

Next day and the rain predicted has arrived which has put a small damper on the riding. It rained a bit in the morning before ...

... Bonjour Madam, Monsieur" . The flowers blossom everywhere and there is a gorgeous old fashioned Carousel in the main square of the old town. Artists are busy at their easels and there is a market outside the Opera House selling clothes which look to be from the opera and theatre. I struggle with my camera and up end the fruit juice all down the front of my shirt. Lucas mops me up and i turn red with embarrassment, but i get the pic of the carousel.

    Sur Le Pont d'Avignon

One of my favourite places I visited in France, Avignon is such a beautiful old city. We stayed at an Air B'n'B rental within the ancient town centre, and were lucky enough to have access to a rooftop patio that looked out over the city toward the Palais de Papes. Had a lovely time strolling along the medieval ramparts, and the gorgeous wall of greenery in the city centre. Nothing bad to say about my visit to Avignon!
