    ... essentially consist of undisturbed beautiful architecture and it is amazing to look around a town almost complete with these buildings in such good condition.

    The other thing things that Bordeaux offers is great boutique, fashion and food shopping. We spend the remainder of the day and evening looking at the shops and sampling some of the yummy wine the region has to offer!

    We woke to torrential rain. In fact much of the night was torrential rain so it was no surprise we were next to a very large puddle. After breakfast in the camp common room we were sent to Bages , a tiny village where, to our amazement, there was a bike shop with the right size tyre and inner tube for P&Ps tandem - phew!     ... A fabulous city. Wonderful shops, magnificent buildings and a couple of quirky items. The mirror d'eau (water mirror) was amazing. A wet pavement where you can walk or play which is misted at regular intervals. And the blue lion - why? But an amazing place to see. Even the cafe creme was excellent.     It wasn't a cold night! A damp morning meant that it was fairly warm. The tap at the aire did not fit any of my connectors, so it was the aquaroll. We planned to get to Preignac. When we arrived, the aire was bollarded off and the water had been shut off. Presumably only open until end of September. So we went further along the Garonne to Cadillac.     ... the nearest doctor, she suggested going to the nearest chemist and asking where doctors were located. She also thought they might just sell them to me without a prescription which is what happened. What a relief.
