... for mother, not me). She said she wasn't leaving Paris until she had some. We came to a specific restaurant because we saw it yesterday while waiting for one of our buses. Mother's experience with the escargot was not the most graceful! Using the special tongs to hold the hot snail she squeezed it out and the shell went flying! We retrieved it and she continued digging for the snail but it was not to be found. After she managed ...

... The crowds were streaming through and as we left the building we saw the queue to enter stretched around the corner to the next block! The Madeleine church is nearby so we enjoyed a reflective time wandering through it and discovering statues of yet more French saints we'd not encountered before. We stopped at the little market by the Metro stop to get some provisions on the way and then back to the hotel to clean up and rest a ...

Caught the metro to Saint Lazare for some serious retail therapy at Printemps and Galleries la Fayette. The two stores are so amazing with the most beautiful presentations of merchandise and we enjoyed browsing through the stores reinacting the steps we took last year! Printemps is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year and the store was decorated with an abundance of pink silk flowers. I bought a replacement for my ...

This morning started with a beautiful cooked breakfast and not to mention...more nutella! I think Europe is the continent for Nutella! After we grabbed a picnic basket and made our way up a big rocky trail to the top of a hill. We were overlooking the Beaujolais wine region while eating baguette, cheese and ham with a bottle of red wine. Very French. We could easily adapt to the French lifestyle of this is a snap shot of what it's ...
