They didn't do their job properly because as I suffered through the same heat wave as you have been having, the temperature in the van, in the shade, rose to above 35 degrees and stayed there for the rest of the stay. Many would dream of a hot summer holiday. For me it was way too much of a good thing.
And apart from the air conditioning of the 'Hotel Skoda' we had to rely on the pool and the local sparkling whites to find some relief. Still, we found some other wonderful things to occupy our time.
