    ... of rooms that were open at this time of the year. She gave us directions in charming three quarter Greek and one quarter English to a place that was open and we found our way there. As we approached and entered it was immediately obvious that this establishment was above our usual standards but I think we all knew anyway that we were going to stay regardless.......

    ... a very kind Indian family noticed our struggle and they offered to make room in the corner floor for us to sleep. These sweet people enabled us to actually sleep on the ferry, which was the best thing that could have happened. After cuddling with some strangers, it was time for us to get off the ferry and head to the beach in Patras, where we just got back from! More updates to come more often hopefully! Greece is seriously stunning.

    Woke this morning to the most spectacular waning moon but the photos just don't do it justice.Only a short drive to our first stop which was Methoni Castle/Fortress. Bulit by theVenetians in the 12th century and then taken over by the Ottomans in the 15th century. Whilst a lot of it is in ruin, the walls/moat/gate etc are still intact.
