So a last minute dash to the car yard to collect the final paperwork for our car and the green card travel insurance which is super important apparently!

Greek bureaucracy with paperwork will never surprise me, they have forms for filling in forms.

Since our accommodation had all been booked beforehand we had the rare pleasure of staying at Athens Casual Urban Home yet again, and the prospect of a night of uncomfortable heat followed by a dissatisfying breakfast were not a lot to look forward to. But we managed to get through, and made a nice early start the following morning to collect ...

    From Italy to Greece

... trip in Istanbul. It is always fun to meet fellow touring cyclists, but it struck me that they are the first cyclists on a touring trip that I have seen since riding into Italy a month prior. I still find it strange that there aren't as many cyclists as I had imagined there would be.

The ferry ended up being rather empty, so it was no problem finding a padded bench to sleep on. Sixteen hours is quite the journey time, but my ...
