Our Peloponnese tour has had to come to an end, and the ferry taking us to Italy is calling. It is with deep regret we didn't have more time in Greece. It seems like this has been a common theme this year. Vanning here has been a breeze, with lovely sites, cheap, delicious food and free camping abundant. Dinner was EU 33 which seems to be about the norm. I have decided that we will be visiting 3 islands- Santorini, Mykonos and Syros ( I haven't been to this one yet) each for a couple of days. I then went to buy ...

After finishing up our adventures in Central and Northern Greece we returned to Athens to regroup and embark on the next leg of our trip. Since our accommodation had all been booked beforehand we had the rare pleasure of staying at Athens Casual Urban Home yet again, and the prospect of a night of uncomfortable heat followed by a dissatisfying breakfast were not a lot to look forward to. But we managed to get through, and made a nice early start the following morning to collect ...

    Overnight Ferry

... breakdown occurred at the stop and not on the side of the road, at least we had a cool place to wait! A series of speed restrictions and some heavy traffic slowed our pace but the driver kept his foot down and we careered past trucks and cars with no fear at all, with Victor in contact with the ferry company promising we would not be too late! Our boarding passes were waiting as we screeched to a halt at the terminal as we grabbed our cases and threw them ...
