    ... to ferries with unmarked destinations. Making it eventually trough customs we made it to traffic jam trying to squeeze onto what looked like our ferry. An hour after the designated departure time we made it aboard. With some beers from the Swiss in front of us we settled in. One positive is being able to sleep in the van onboard, making it a very comfortable journey.

    ... I love Turkish Delight"... well.... the minute it was out of her mouth she knew her mistake, she sort of blushed and said "oooo I didn't mean to say that" while at the same time Aris cried "no, not turkish delight"!!! Talk about a "don't mention the war" moment!! He must have forgiven her though cos he insisted on spoon feeding it to her whilst Deb and I were just handed spoons to get our own! Finally we escaped and made our way down to the town clutching the mud map Aris had drawn ...

    ... the very impressive ruins of Delphi. We spent a few hours looking through the museum at the artifacts’ and well preserved stone statues, stopping for a coffee and a beer, before returning back down the mountain, this time with a different bus driver who was intent on killing us all by driving at breakneck speed.

    After finishing up our adventures in Central and Northern Greece we returned to Athens to regroup and embark on the next leg of our trip. Since our accommodation had all been booked beforehand we had the rare pleasure of staying at Athens Casual Urban Home yet again, and the prospect of a night of uncomfortable heat followed by a dissatisfying breakfast were not a lot to look forward to.     ... the same, things were pretty hectic, but Anne had us reunited with our luggage and onto our coach inside half an hour! Top stuff! We then went back to the Novotel to get the rest of our cases and once joined by a guide, did a city tour which ended at the Parthenon! The city tour was again a reminder of Greece's problems and was a forgettable experience!!!!! No need to further elaborate apart from a brief stop at the Arena which was interesting! Once ...
