... Again, I couldn't find any hotels in Chandigarth as well so I ended up pitching a tent on some muddy patch of land in the middle of the city (almost).
I bought all the spares today plus some engine oil and I'm ready to explore the mountains. The only thing required is food, water and two jerry cans for petrol, which I will get in Shimla.
I don't expect to have internet access soon, but I will try to at least put a pin on the map to show my ...

... fairly wealthy and all of the shops in this area were pretty expensive, especially on a backpackers budget! We strolled around searching for a nice restaurant as the hunger was growing by the minute. We found it very hard to understand when we were unable to locate any form of restaurant amongst hundreds of shops. Chandigarh was going steadily down in our estimations as we had to resort to a second rate cafe for dinner; not what we were hoping for!

... and it is not a normal Indian city. Spread out and a planned city with blocks. I look at a couple of hotels and oh my golly – EXPENSIVE! I find a room for 650r. The MOST expensive room I have had yet and it isn't even pretty or clean! Oh and I don’t even have my own bathroom! YUK!

... Blood is then offered to Hindu goddess Kali. Apparently the ritual was started by a queen (???) who stopped the ritual of human sacrifices offered something 'more human' instead - throwing stones at each other. In this ritual devotees from different clans participate in a procession, beating drums and playing flutes. Then they form teams and pelt each other with stones...until seeing the blood flowing. Did you get the picture? What's your thoughts?
