... to my hotel. Now I know why they call it LUGgage. After settling into my room, I headed out to take the "Night Watchman Tour". The tour was only an hour, but it was informative and the Watchman was humorous as well. After the tour, I went To Hell, yes that is the restaurant's name, for dinner. FYI, they serve good food in Hell. So the next time someone tells you to "go to Hell", it may very well be a good suggestion!
Würzburg, Bavaria, Germany trockie... thing I did notice were the German "rest stops". Unlike those we know in the US, these are simply pullovers and nothing else. Nothing else except men peeing along the side of the road, in broad daylight. Come on Germany- Let's invest in some restrooms! At least one of those McClean pay ones would be an improvement.

After lunch we docked at Wurzburg , another picturesque town with many church spires and a fortress on the hill. Würzburg, Bavaria, Germany tucsonjohnThe fourth biggest city in Germany, with over one million inhabitants, Cologne (Köln in German) began life as a Roman colony or colonia (hence its name). Its location on the Rhine, at the heart of Germania, was key to its status as capital of the province. The city became a centre for worship, famous for the legend and cult of Santa Ursula, and built several splendid Romanesque churches, which survive today. <br><br>By the Middle Ages, Cologne was one of ...

We are told to go upstairs and the audio guides are available at the entrance. <br><br>As we go up the stairs we do see the incredible painting on the ceiling here. It is a huge staircase going up in the centre and then divides and goes up again on either side. The painting is astounding. Then we go in to a side room with chairs in it and look at the ceiling in there, another great master piece. There are some tours ...
Würzburg, Bavaria, Germany dancejill... wasn't going to satisfy all of us, so we went in search of something else. <br><br>I got us lost because I was stubborn and swore I knew where I was going, while apparently I did not. Katie found the way again and we ended up at KFC. Strange, I know, and not authentic, but it was the only place so far that we've gotten cokes with free refills and all the ice we want. So worth the feeling of eating fast food. Ice is something severely missed by the five of us on this ...
Würzburg, Bavaria, Germany laceymhFrom Alices Diary<br>" The day started of nice and relaxed. We didn't have breakfast until 8.30am, caught up on some washing and sat up on the deck to watch the world go by. The weather is starting to pick up and we are leaving the rain behind. At 10.30am happy hour was announced and we went down to the lounge to enjoy smoked sausages with beer and wine and so an hour later everyone was very happy ...

The painting features the prince-bishop at the front and female representations of Africa, Asia, and America paying homage to him (he had quite the ego).
