It frreakin' SNOWED today. I was expecting a day of sunshine but I only got a 20 second preview of blue sky this morning outside of town on the way to Salzburg Zoo. Check out the first pic to see what I thought was the unveiling of the mountains I've been longing to see. But instead I got the beauty of snow for a few hours. It was only light, but so happy I got to see it (and it was the first snow of the season).

Side note: the travel guide complemented me in front of everyone for my beautiful ...

... of heights, pansy) and then met up with our next tour guide, Pierce Brosnan. Ok ok, so it wasn't really Pierce of course, but this bloke had the looks, charisma, and witty bond one liners that got us in as much a fluster as hunnybunny (money penny). We drove through the valley and up a tight winding road. Where the road stopped we got out and walked. Where it got too steep to walk we got in a gondola and went even higher. When the gondola stopped we got out and walked ...

... of our apartment!! It's just gorgeous.

The next day the weather was bleh! Our tour up to Klehnsteinhaus (Eagle's Nest) was cancelled as there was too much snow! So we decided to visit the fortress overlooking Salzburg. Our views were nullified by cloud - we couldn't see a thing!!

In the evening we enjoyed a Mozart concert and 3 course meal in the oldest restuarant in Europe! The musicians were dressed in clothing from the 18th century ...
