    ... the trail began in ernest.....biking beside the river passing orchards, maze crops, densely forested hillsides, and fisherman sitting on the banks with their three rods per person in the water...catching what?     Passau is a city of 50000 at the confluence of three rivers, the Danube,LLz and Inn.St Stephen's cathedral is one of the most beautiful I have seen. Full of art.     ... in the world with incredible frescos on the ceilings and walls ) and monasteries towering over the town looking magnificent set against these rivers. Even with this perfect weather it was interesting to see the strength of the current running.     ... the Inn river. We cross over into Austria and continue along the bike path for a few miles. This has definitely got Bob thinking of another bike trip....as the bike path follows the river quite a long way. Passau is the beginning of many bike tours along the river to Vienna....about 300 km away. Back to Germany ...

    ... some cough drops at a grocery store as all the drug stores were closed. Hopefully she won't have to use them. After dinner we went up on to the sun deck to take in the show. It seemed to be sponsored by the Ars Electronica Centre. There were huge crowds of people and all the buildings were lit up and the ARC building was blinking and changing colour.
