... Ten Thousand people were in the race. After breakfast we went to visit the Rosengart Collection. This is a private collection of art that was donated to the city by Angela Rosengart. She and her father were art dealers who were friends of Picasso, Chagall, Paul Klee and other artists of their time. What an amazing collection! We really enjoyed it. Then Marsha, Ed and I walked around watching the runners and throngs ...

After an average breakfast we were on the train and hoping to have a easy travel to Lucerne and to the hotel without getting lost! The train trip took an hour ...

We trekked up to the old city wall, which has clock towers that you can climb up for great views over the city and lake. We took some photos here before heading to the 'Lion Monument' which commemorates the Swiss that lost their lives during the French ...

Lucerne and Mt Rigi

Today was our free day in Switzerland, we started off great as we got to sleep in till 9 which for us is luxury seeing as we have to get up at 5:30 tomorrow morning. We had breakfast and headed for the train down the mountain so we could take a ferry across to Lucerne, the ferry ride was fun, we could see all the surrounding areas and the beautiful mountains. When we finally arrived in Luzern we took a tour of the city, seeing the Lion Monument and the old town streets, it is a ...
