It was time to sit down and eat an ice-cream before catching a bus back into town. Before we left we made sure to find the local tourism office and collect our stamps, but we ended up getting it from a local hotel instead.

First stage down, plenty more to go!

... traveling into Heidelberg, so I did just that and travelled through Ilvesheim and Ladenburg before driving up the hill from Schriesheim into the forest. It took about an hour all up, but it beats driving!

My mum, a friend of her and I took a day tour to visit the Christmas markets in Heidelberg and to hopefully have nice weather for some pictures.

I remember that I visited Heidelberg some years ago in summer and that I did not like it as it was so full of tourists.

It is funny how sometimes when you think of a place you are full of joy and sometimes you just do not like a place at all.

I guess Heidelberg is a mixture.

We left Brussels this morning and drove into Germany. Our first stop was Cologne to see its medieval church. Building began in the 13th century but wasn't completed until 1880.
