      Jimbaran, our home base for a few days, is a coastal town overlooking the Indian Ocean. Along the bay there are luxury accommodations that have led to it being referred to as the Beverly Hills of Bali. The town itself is nothing to write home about and many of us would have preferred an extra day in Lovina (though the hotel in Jimbaran was lovely and with a beautiful beach and pool).

      ... one of the longest stays in one place on the six month trip which has only two weeks left. Bali is a typical resort town and there was plenty to do for the standard tourist the shopping, beach and attractions like the water park were all excellent. It is probably best known unfortunately for the bombings in 2002 (I think it was 2002) and 2005.       ... 3 hours we danced up a storm! It was honestly one of the funnest nights I've had in a long time. I was a good level of drunk and was just dancing up a storm.
