The rooms are spacious with king size beds or twin beds. There is a comfortable chair to relax in while watching TV and a desk and chair if needed. The beds are comfortable, with two pillows per person which should suit most people. The shower is great with wonderful flow and a shower rose that sprays in the one direction. The provided requisites are good. A free bottle of water is provided. The hotel has a large lounge area where you can relax have a drink and purchase a snack. A restaurant, The Shanghai, provides traditional food and just outside the front entrance is a local eating place which serves enjoyable Chinese foods, at a very reasonable price. The reception staff could be a little more friendly, but were efficient. A very good place to stay.

We then visited the Reed Flute Cave. It was interesting except they PAINTED SOME OF THE STALACTITES AND STALACMITES. I still cannot get …

After a gruelling 2.5 hours drive over some appalling secondary roads we finally joined 30,000 other visitors to the Kunming Stone Forest Park.
Apparently we needed to avoid some construction works on the primary freeway type road to cover this 76kms. Although we got to see some sights of the country we might not have seen otherwise I think …
