... but on their way so our departure is delayed. So we walk around the ship taking in the sights of the port, and we stop to watch an oil tanker and two tugs headed our way. There were an awful lot of people watching as these guys manoeuvred the tanker into the berth along from us. Absolutely amazing. We sail out to the sounds of the band and the sight of families waving until they are specks on the shore. We run the gauntlet of ships all headed to port and we make our way out to sea. ...

... up and down the main drag people watching the working girls and their clients, bought some juice from a coffee chain proud of much they'd ripped off the starbucks logo, and then got the tube to the promenade area. Saw the fountain of wealth and went for steak. The singapore flyer is only open til half 10 so we'll do that tomorrow We spent £65 on dinner....well you have to do it now and then. Was amazing steak too, seriously seriously happy diners. Current traveller ...

... at the Satu Lagi Bar,Hotel Kristal was an insight into what a few expats are trying to achieve in their new home city. This group consisted of a two Aussies, a Canadian ,a Scot & the Pommie manager. Organising a Melbourne Cup gala fund raiser..to help several local orphanages and charities over dinner , drinks and a lot of laughs resulted in a proposed schedule. Good on you Guys & Gals!!
