We got up rather late, for us, and had a shower (the water yesterday afternoon was tepid - too cold for a shower) with hot water. ... is just on the edge of the Altstadt. Although Booking.com said that reception was open from 2pm to 9pm the opening hours on the hotel doors had a gap between 2pm and 5pm, this was because the reception was at the bar of a Greek Restaurant that was closed in the afternoon.

There we were with our bikes and luggage at 3pm with 2 hours to wait - unimpressed is what we were. We did not fancy pushing our bikes aroung Bayreuth in the afternoon ...
