      ... memorable were the Imperial Palace, Sisi's museum & St. Stephens Cathedral. The story of Sisi (Elizabeth, empress of Austria) is quite fascinating, I would encourage you to google her & read about her life.

      Today we took the train from Vienna to Kitzbuhel. We had to transfer trains in Worgl, & expected to have 16 mins to make the connections. Well ...

      ... we had a drink at the bar and took our laptop down there where it works a lot better!! Tonight we walked down to what seems like a local social club. It was full of Austrians and they seem to be enjoying themselves. The meal was okay – I had fish but as you can tell it wasn’t outstanding. Doesn’t matter. Back in the room for planning for tomorrow and it doesn’t seem that noisy after all thank goodness.

      ... of the mountain in Kaprun. From there we ascended the mountain in three steps:

      1. Gletscherjet 1: a small gondola that took us up the steep lower slope of the mountain to some beautiful green meadows.

      2. Langwiedbahn: a chairlift with an optional cover that we left open even though it was pretty chilly. We went over more rocky terrain and got our first views of the snowy Kitzsteinhorn summit before disembarking ...

      ... we thought about taking a funicular down to the valley floor. But it was kind of expensive, and the views were still not that great. So we decided to just leave. That was our last stop on the road, so we headed back toward Zell am See, stopping at a couple places where the views hadn't been that great in the morning sun.

      After finally coming down out of the mountains, and leaving the high alpine road, we went through a small town that was having a tractor festival. ...
