What is great about backpacking with no fixed agenda or itinerary, is that you can make changes to your plans at any time, based on how you feel or based on things you read & hear. We had an appetizer called Schlutzkrapferl which was like potstickers stuffed with cottage cheese and spinach and covered with butter. ... VERY cold and it got down to 7 degrees there. So I wore my new warm coat – tag still on it as I hadn’t taken it off yet. We had a nice light lunch in a pretty café. On to Salzburg. Our hotel, The Gasthof Junior is on a very main road – it seems like it will be very noisy but the room is clean and fine. We rested and then went for a walk in the local area. It has good parts and bad. As the Internet is not excellent in ...

... of St. Oswald which was very beautiful inside and had a wonderful cemetery with wrought iron crosses on the graves. We walked around and took pictures of the houses. We found a walk through the woods at the end of one of the streets we walked. The hiking trail had lots of exhibits emphasizing that this was meant to be a contemplative walk. There were lots of trail-side exhibits to aid the walker in being more contemplative, complete ...
