... we expected to see. We visited the Kaiserliche Schatzkammer (the Imperial Treasury) which houses some of the most stunning and beautiful, and probably expensive, items of jewellery ever seen. The items are linked to various Austrian Monarchs via the Austrian throne or Holy Roman Empire. In addition to the jewellery there was clothing worn by various gentry linked to Austria; vast amounts of pieces (teeth, hairs etc - relics they call them; odd we call them) of Saints? including ...

Sunday afternoon concluded a 2 day weekend full or racing in Sarnen, Switzerland. We did well Sunday afternoon in the finals, earning gold, silver and/or bronze medals in almost every event that we entered, including the senior eight, straight four and pair. Sarnen is an absolutely breathtaking town that i wasn't able to fully capture with my iPhone camera. The lake has crystal blue water and is surrounded on three sides by beautiful ...

      Calais to Sarnen.

Didn't get much sleep last night, the hotel ranks as a one of the worst. Noisy, uncomfortable, not en suite, you get the picture.

Went for the basic breakfast and then the plan was to meet the rest of the rally at a car park in Calais at approx. 8:30am.

First though, the day 1 fancy dress, I have to say we were both killing ourselves laughing getting ...

... station there would be at least one public restroom, but there wasn't. I then went outside and I listened to the water for a bit. By now it was dark out, but the full moon was out and it looked magnificent. 10 o'clock finally rolls around and this time I get to Ballwil without any problems. Before I left for Interlaken the day before, Urs told me to call him whenever I was back at the Ballwil stop so he could pick me up. Somewhere during my trip I ...
