Being one quarter Slovak, I am bound to be a little biased about Slovakia and Slovak people. I will attempt to recount my time in this wonderful country without too much more hyperbole than I would normally use. However, seeing as I once referred to McDonald's hash browns as "to die for," sometimes you have to take my complimentary adjectives with a grain of salt and/or that I am rather easy to please. ... churches and the architecture of the cottages. Next, we climbed Gublowka Mountain, which took about 1 hour each way. The path was very slippery and it is a miracle that I didn't fall into the mud at some point. Nearly halfway up, on a grassy knoll, a man was herding sheep in a cloud of fog. I felt like I was in “The Sound of Music”, it was so bloody magical.

Finally on top the mountain, we saw ridiculously awesome ...

... br> But we did learn that you don't need to wear $300 - $400 hiking outfits like everyone else to make it through the day. Our jeans did just fine. We were the least well dressed people on the mountain! Too funny. We prefer to spend our money getting WAY out of town, if you know what I mean.

... included fruit and tea as a compensation. Basically that was our lunch each day since we got up late and then ate an early dinner at the buffet. The first night's buffet was heavy, traditional food and we were worried, but the food got better as the weekend approached. All in all the food was good for a buffet.

This is the laziest we've been on the trip so far, but it was what most people call a "vacation." What's that?
