Not to much to report today. We had a nice sleep in this morning after a relatively late night last night. Did some laundry and enjoyed the sunshine, before we got on our bus & headed for the Tatra mountains in Slovakia. This is going in a strange order now as I forgot to write something in Krakow.. I'm going back there today so it all shall be put to rights. Working at the hostel means I can spend the entirety of the day in my pyjamas and only get dressed to go get food. ... and the return journey was even more scary. I was glad to arrive back in Zakapane. A few of us decided we still had the energy to tackle the Fenicilar. It ended up being a short and unspectacular, but a nice relaxing option. The view was nice, overlooking the skiing village and we wandered around looking for a coffee and cake. ... the 60ft main alter carved from linden wood. The three large central figures represent Mary and baby Jesus, flanked on either side St. James and St. John the Evangelist. Below, a depiction of the Last Supper is carved from a single piece of linden wood. The alter won a gold medal at Expo 67 where it was displayed.
