We passed the 4,000 mile mark on yesterday's bimble, but today it's a day off the bikes. We're going to a castle!

Orava Castle is built on a hill overlooking the village of Oravský Podzámok, on a bend in the River Orava, in north eastern Slovakia.

... Lovely room, excellent restaurant and 50 metres from the castle ticket office. A no-brainer. We check in for two nights and order a beer on the terrace.

Since it was only about 11, I just had hot chocolate and apple cake. It was delicious. After pouring over the map and lots of discussion and questioning, we set off on the blue trail that was to lead to the yellow again. Here the trail got more ...

... bit of time to get settled into the room and then off we go to tour the town with Todd in the lead & us all the important details. Here, we learned about an architect who develop the Zacopane style of architecture and then we went to the most interesting and beautiful cemetery I've ever been to. Zacopane is a ski town; tomorrow with our plan is to take the tram to the top of the mountain and hiked down. Todd is great at arranging group dinners for us in every ...
