... 2 halloween parties with kids. The parties that I went to were really fun, and the main costumes are vampires, witches, ghosts, or a bloody person.

Michael: It was as busy (well more so for Julie) in getting the costumes ready for Halloween as it is in Canada. I liked that the school celebrated Halloween and the kids were able to wear their costumes for part of the school day. The excitement level for the kids was the same as Canada even if the candy haul ...

... for a walking tour of a very pretty Innsbruck (our hotel is in the center of town). While we obviously enjoyed the sights of Italy, it was great to be in the mountains again and see Bavarian (in this case Tyrolean) architecture.

We took a cable car one third of the way to the top of surrounding mountains. Tried to catch the gondola to the top but ...

... the end and we managed to check in with no problems to our tiny room in the Disneylandesque street of Romerhofgasse. The highlight of a visit to Kufstein is the Fortress. It towers over the city high above and we are only a short walk from the panorama cable car that delivers you to the top. There is a maze of towers, bastions, batteries, chambers and passages, many of which have historical displays. Most had descriptions in ...

          ... night. Love Reese.

Michael - I am the last to write my bit and the ladies have touched on the spectacle of be-speckled cows running through town...I liked the one cow that went rogue and clearly wanted to eat some flowers in a pot that she spied...the horror of adults leaping out of the way was bemusing because the look on their face said: how dare one of the cows actually disturb me and my beer..." There were plenty of portable beer trailers and local shcnapps ...
