Arrived yesterday at 12:15 in Phuket, at the airport my friend Assar had booked a transfer for me to my apartment that he also fixed for me! Left my bag and went to the diveshop, not without any struggle tho! Haha I ended up in a taxi! Talked about the course and got some books to study and then we went to a bar, had an amazing paneng curry and a beer.. That ended in many beers and sangsom! Good night! Met a loots of new friendly people ...

... what I just bought. We got a drink and sat down at a little table in the main street and just watch the goings on for an hour or so...very entertaining! People scurrying everywhere, overloaded scooters and tuk tuks tearing around, market stalls selling EVERYTHING. Bought the boys some genuine (cough, cough) surf gear, Paul had to have another Singha singlet (as he's now the official western face of Singha!) then ambled back to the resort for a beer by ...

... too much, but we had to start somewhere and the seller would have been happy to have us as customers. At least we probably contributed to a good day of trading for her! We went back to Graceland and spent an hour or so in the pool before getting changed for lunch. Brad and I wanted to go out to the locals to eat but the kids weren't so keen after our morning excursion. We agreed to eat within the safety of the resort, even though we knew we would be paying more, ...
