So today is our last day and we are both ready to be done with it! We arrived not until noon in Alicante and we had reserved an excursion to see two towns near Alicante. ... I wish my friends could be here with me. I know they would love this place. I wish they could visit. But all in all, I know that I have to do this on my own, though I'm lucky to have found such a great friend and companion in Elizabeth.<br>I hope that Alicante becomes someplace that I treasure forever. And more so that I learn Spanish and that it shows me that I can do something great, be something great, and be me. At my best.

So Alex had to go back to the consulate in the morning and being true friends me and Olly decided to join him. So, day 2 in Alacant. Had to start off by finding the British consulate so Alex can get a new passport. After a pretty standard day we bought some cheap Sangria and food which we cooked in the courtyard of the hostel. Thats right 7 euros a night and it has an f-in courtyard. We cooked food, drank and ate with a few of the German dudes whilst the rest of the guys where lost in the city. After ...

We arrived in Alacante hoping to find the only hostel they have which we were informed is 7 euros a night. Obviously we were half expecting to find nothing but wierd Spanish people. Well I can tell you that after a while of cycling round this seemingly normal city we actually found the hostel which happened to be uni accomodation. ... usual and fell asleep in a wierd location (motorway traffic Island) as usual. Then, as usual, whilst going to the toilet a big animal started rustling around in a bush next to me. I nonchalently threw a massive rock in there to freak it out. <br><br>Then we soundly fell asleep to the sound of heavy traffic a few meters away.
