... just after the exit from Nærøyfjord is roughly 500m long, one of the highest waterfalls along the fjord. At 1pm we went past 2 farms at Stigen, 300m above sea level. The name of the farms comes from the ladders (stiger) that had to be used to negotiate the steepest part on the path! Next we passed Undredal which is famous for its tiny church. After ...

A relatively short distance from Bergen, this place seemed a world away. Voss is a much smaller town, comparably, and far-removed from the bustle of its nearby metropolitan neighbor. We disembarked our train at the station and made the short walk of about ten minutes to our accomodations, a small ...

... a lazy day. I went for a walk around the lake, which was alive with summer. Being Sunday, all the supermarkets were closed. Since we hadn't exactly planned on staying two days, we didn't buy enough groceries for two days, so dinner tonight was an overly priced dinner out. My fried chicken "Kentucky burger" wasn't that good. Apparently people prefer ground chicken to breast fillets here. We also noticed ...
