After 2 days in Munich, we meandered south towards Austria. We stopped at the summer palace, Linderhof Castle, built by "mad, King Ludwig" where it began to snow, the first of the season. Hard to believe it started so late in the Bavarian mountains. It was a small palace, but extremely ornate and extravagant.

... than the tunnels the trip was uneventful til we got to Innsbruck. The Altstadt (old town) christmasmarket had started on the weekend. Our hotel was on the christmasmarket street. After a couple of misses and drive bys we finally pulled into the market, found the hotel and the receptionist told John where the parking was and that he needed to do a U turn and get off the street right away! The car is parked until we leave on Thursday.

As I'm on a bike I make my way to the front of the queue and stop at the
red. Under this light is a countdown which when I stopped was just below 4
minutes. I would love to know how long some of these cars have been standing
here waiting.
We are now sitting right down below major roadwork's on the cliff edge
