    ... a win-win. Honey for sale everywhere on the roadside and very healthy crops our farmers would be pretty happy with. On our approach to Lochel (small town in the mid north for those not familiar with South Aus) I asked Darren to pull over so I could take a photo. Whilst I am taking the photo Darren the real horticulturalist gets a closer look at the weeds growing throughout the sunflower crop.

    ... Sea. As soon as we reached the first beach we saw nothing but construction of houses and roads. Our quarter for the night was in the historic port town of Constanta. We stayed in the Palace Hotel, a huge old house that had seen better days. The lobby was still looking posh with lots of marble but our room must have been the servant’s quarter on the top floor: small, no working AC and a bathroom the size of a match box.

    FYI -- Constanta was founded by the Greeks as Tomis around 2,500 years ago. It is rumored to have been the place where Jason and the Argonauts landed after securing the Golden Fleece of legend. The Romans conquered in 71BCE and renamed it in honor of the sister of the Roman Emperor of the time.
