... Although the wasps decided to attack again, much to Tabbi and Naomi's horror, every now and then we would open our eyes to see them jumping around swatting wildly at the terrifying beasts. Katie was more efficient and brutal, stamping very directly on one without mercy. Came back for tea. Anna, Tabbi, Naomi and Ellie are leaving 11pm to get a night train tonight, not envious of them, and then heading home. None of us had a very appealing tea- we had noodles with 1 cup of ...
I'm not sure why I'm doing those mileage figures other than as a rough guide to the distance it's going to be from Wales to Split (and probably back again). It's certainly not an accurate overall record of the distance we drive. For example, we did over 100 today, simply driving around northern Slovenia.

Splashed out on a taxi this morning to the train station (actually cheaper than the tram). Got a taxi partly because Emma was too scared of the tram after a close call yesterday where she almost got trapped alone on the tram. Picture her running up the tram banging on the windows, shouting 'can you stop please' with a tram-full of amused locals and us outside laughing more than we were trying to help. It was great because it meant we could get up an ...
