Clean, cheap, contemporary & modern furnishing, strategic location (3mins walk to beach and beach front shopping area).

    Would have given 5 stars:
    - if not for the inconsistent water heater flow, 1 minute hot, another minute cold.
    - Internet facility is not free, have to purchase credit.

It's a short hop from Krabi Airport to the beach town of Ao Nang, and 150 bhat per person got us there in about 30 minutes. All the luggage was piled in a huge heap near the front of the bus, and ours was on the bottom. Fortunately by the time we got delivered to the Best Western hotel it was accessible from the large number of prior drop-offs . < …

Since all of us finally fell asleep at about 3.30 we decided to get up a little bit later. We had breakfast in a local café bearing quite a funny name "Smiling Dog". They have great pancakes over there! I tried the one with banana and chocolate and it was truly delicious.

While having breakfast we had a chance to witness a curious accident of a Canadian guy who had just rented a motorcycle but didn´t know how to ride it well, lost control over it ...

... of sun loungers stacked up! We found it a little expensive but it made sense when you saw all the tourists so we had some good seafood on a waterfront restaurant - Clams and Ribs. We then decided that we would head back so we caught our first tuk-tuk to Phuket town which was a lot quieter!!

... over rocks and loosing our flip flops, this perhaps would have been a better journey to do in the light of day. On arriving and looking round the hostels it was clear that this definitely was a better journey to do by day. I left aimz with the bags and walked round all the accommodation. Everywhere was full. We were offered two extremes, a tiny tent with no roll mats or anything pitched on gravel for 200baht or a 'superior' room on a resort for ...

... We will transition in Trang to a minivan then continue for 2 more hours to Krabi Airport where our hotel will pick us up.

Once settled into our spots Brooke was determined to have a cup of coffee. Only a few issues 1) they don’t have coffee 2) no cups and 3) no milk, but they did have hot water. I realized I had two Starbucks Via’s stuffed in my backpack so problem #1 solved. Next we needed a container. We decided to empty the water ...
