It's a short hop from Krabi Airport to the beach town of Ao Nang, and 150 bhat per person got us there in about 30 minutes. All the luggage was piled in a huge heap near the front of the bus, and ours was on the bottom. Fortunately by the time we got delivered to the Best Western hotel it was accessible from the large number of prior drop-offs . < …
... we put on running shoes and a lot of anti-mosquito repellent it was quite challenging. Both ways - uphill as well as downhill - were steep, slippery and besides that, we were being bitten by thousands of hungry mosquitos. Unfortunately we didnīt make it to the lagoon because we considered it to be too dangerous. At the same time it didnīt seem to be so nice. Yet a vista we got from the viewpoint was quite rewarding. We agreed that it was worth a few itchy mosquito bites.
So after the difficult journey from Cambodia its time to party, after Ant missing his flight will be a couple of hours after us so we grab a beer and some Pad Thai. The sun was out, so we decided to hire a scooter to go and explore. For 250 baht, we had a decent, almost brand ...

TravelPod Member ReviewsKrabi Resort Ao Nang
Clean, cheap, contemporary & modern furnishing, strategic location (3mins walk to beach and beach front shopping area).
Would have given 5 stars:
- if not for the inconsistent water heater flow, 1 minute hot, another minute cold.
- Internet facility is not free, have to purchase credit.
