    ... our gate after getting our connection tickets, clearing immigration and the connection security. It is hard to run in flip flops but I've had closer calls before and was relieved I wasn't dripping with sweat when I boarded the plane from Bangkok to Krabi. Amazing, as we went further away from the bay the weather seemed to get worse, and before long it was raining, for breakfast we was given an egg sandwich and the most artificial orange juice you would ever taste in your life! We passed a pretty impressive cave, we didn't go inside, but saw it and got some piccys!!     ... as pets so we've seen a few, albeit monkeys with nappies on! In the evening we walked around everywhere and visited the party side of the island. There were a few bars and a good fire show we went and watched for a bit but no beach party is the same without our thaintro group! As small as phi phi was I quite enjoyed it there, had a nice time seeing it! Looking forward to getting back onto semi mainland and going into Phuket ...

    ... had free wi-fi at all my hotels so far so I've been able to do updates regularly but expect that to change so this may be my last update for a while.     ... Set against a brilliant azure blue sky, this was a particularly arresting moment.

    The Buddhist monk chants were amplified perfectly clearly and at a pretty impressive volume. An especially absorbing aspect of this ritual was that the crowd (congregation sounds a bit pompous for this gathering) all wound a cotton thread around an index finger.
