    ... to get up and check out. We had a leisurely breakfast, packed, and headed to Saladan Pier-which was only 5 minutes from our resort. Remembering our last ferry experience, we took tablets this time hoping to calm our seasickness.     So here we are in Penang. An island a lot bigger than I initially thought but its home to historic buildings, trendy bars, cafes, guesthouses and hostels as well as a Philippino receptionist with perhaps the best laugh I have ever heard. Here's how we got here. After the last blog update sat on a beach in Nusa Dua we went for yet another 'holiday' style meal rather than 'backpacker' meal followed by another night at the amazing Marriot hotel and yet another huge breakfast ...

    ... beverage whilst wearing life jackets upside down (it felt like wearing a huge nappy that made you bob in the water - good fun!). Our next stop was a smaller lagoon where we had a snorkel - saw lots of fish before we had Dave feed some fish whilst we were still in teh water, that was pretty cool as there were loads of them!
