... we've seen the southern Thai beaches. It's really only Koh Samui that we haven't been to. Many of the places were amazing but it's clear that there are simply too many people for it to be sustained. The sheer volume of Asian tourists, especially the Chinese is almost at an industrial level and it's not really sustainable but it's still mostly least for now.

Maybe Thomas and Isabel will come back one day back-packing!

... main deck. Maybe eighty people in there with at least the same again downstairs and a dozen standing on deck at the back with a mountain of luggage. Waiting to board we talked to a thirty-something English guy and wife. He said he has a pub in Cirencester but spends a lot of the time travelling. And even though I was traveling for 24 hours, it didn’t feel that long, I slept most of the train journey and watched a movie on my laptop during my wait at the airport and time goes quickly when there’s no pressure to be ...

... looked incredible. All the locals were so friendly, saying hello as we walked past. We already fell in love with this place. We found a great little reggae bar called 'Skunk Bar'. After taking our shoes off we were lead to a little balcony area upstairs overlooking the beach. This was a chill zone with low tables and cushions you could lean on. We sat down and heard a bang from something dropping on the floor. Hard fruits were falling from the tree above ...

... be heading down some nice quieter roads towards the massive column that the temple sits atop. Once you get there you are greeted with two massive limestone pillars, one of which has 1272 small, high steep steps to clamber up to the top where a small Buddha and temple are. We headed into the cave at the bottom first where there are supposedly tiger paw prints on the walls which the temple lends it's name to. However I could see no paw prints so ...
