... beach. No warning of course and only a few meters away from us, I'm pretty sure we got hit by some sparks, but we live to tell the tale - gotta love Thailand! New Year on the beach didn't feel as alien as Christmas and is definitely something I could do again :)

Second, I know I played beer pong ...

... eponymous wildlife. On approach we observed a few things: 1) that the beach while highly gorgeous and on par with the suggestions of google images was bombarded with tourists and 2) there were monkeys on it!!! So cool getting a close up view of the monkeys while they were interacting with each other and the people there - in some cases scratching some all too eager tourists feet!

... a knowing grin. A Thai foot massage doesn't mean exactly what I thought it would and very soon my shins and calves were being vigorously rubbed with coconut butter. Kerry spent the majority of the newly named Thai lower leg massage with her eyes shut and looked thoroughly relaxed. I spent the entirety of mine pulling painful faces as it felt like the wrestler was shaving my shin bone with his thumb. For an hours rub at 4 each it was an unforgettable ...
