... lunch in a border town of Su-ngai Kolok. We consumed our last meal on the street of Phattalung before we get on the bus heading to Krabi Town.

We originally thought about going to Hat Yai first and take a bus from there to Krabi Town. Fortunately we got to know two guys, one was from Spain and the other one from USA, who were planning to take a train from Su-ngai Kolok to Bangkok. We considered it to be a good idea and just decided to hop off a bit earlier in ...

... hill so as soon as we landed on the wood ones with a nice balcony.... We took it.
Limited internet connection on Tonsai and no electricity during the day.
The place is full on rasta coffee shops and pubs. Perhaps due to the lack of electricity 90% of the people we met had contracted the “Tonsai Belly” and lost 24 hours of their trip.

... time I had the whole front deck to myself. I guess nowhere else shows the huge growth in Thailand's tourist industry more than here - over 10%25 a year even during the downturn. The little street that we stayed on last time has turned into a bustling thoroughfare crowded with hotels, bars, shops and tour agencies, and the beach is so full of people and longboats it's really not worth being on. Even Railey beach, the supposed 'quiet' beach looked absolutely crammed. Hopefully ...

    Day 1 in Railay

... at the restaurant of the neighbouring hotel. Lori decided to have a Thai curry which had potatoes in it which was very nice. Jon decided to have a chicken pizza which too was very nice, Jon also had a prawn cocktail for starter and Lori garlic bread with cheese. Of course our starters came after our mains ha ha. We headed back to the hotel around 10pm for an alcohol free early ...
