Staff were helpful and friendly. Central location was handy. Tour options where only slightly more expensive than other places. Pool was awesome, and room was a good size.

The shop being halal, as is most everything here, they didn't ask what meat to use but just used chicken. Apparently it's normal to ask if you want chicken or pork, but pork isn't halal so the only option is chicken. Mi told me a funny story about her time in Malaysia. She was visiting a particular part of the country that wasn't ...

... scene right then and there. This thing had its tongue out and all and I was convinced I'd be his afternoon snack. I've never moved as quickly as I did in those 5 seconds it took to get the hell out of dodge. It felt like I was in some horror film and I nearly broke my ass trying to escape this beastly creature. I made it back to the sand and about smacked myself for having gone on that stupid excursion in the first place.
That whole episode made me ...
