Sendai - beautiful mountains in autumn

A travel blog entry by monkeybusiness

Early Monday morning we set off for our first adventure on the Shinkansen (the Japanese bullet train). Less than 2 hours later we arrived in Sendai (Northern Japan). First stop was a castle owned by a Samurai. The castle stood on top of a hill overlooking the city. We even remembered to bring her omiyage, or souvenir, from Sapporo.

On the first day i visited the different sites: two lakes, the shrines etc... Yesterday i climbed Okama (there is ropeway ...

Nothing quite prepared us for this beauty. We were joined at the top by some hikers (if you can call them that) who just came out of the cable car and we were pretty much the only ones on the trail up and down. ...
