... to be taken. Eventually we received some momos and a couple of mushroom curries, but I wasn't really feeling great so had to leave a lot of it. It was tiredness really and I fell asleep almost instantly when we got back.

... three nights all alone till a guy from Greece, Georgios, arrived who is really nice... Neither of us had much new company recently so we've lots of travel based conversation and lots of swapping movies and music.

The first treatment gave me a bit of a shock to the system when I had to totally strip, and have a flimsy bit of cloth covering my dignity... At least covered for the first hour! After the massage was a treatment which involved a hot bag ...

... which backed on to the backwaters were old, very old. Several were lucky to still be standing. The water looked very dirty, an odd green color, however we saw several men drinking from it. Georgia and I took this as a good sign and eventually jumped in for a swim. Once in the water, something swam past my foot, and remembering the 2m long snake we had seen in the water twenty minutes previously, I think I actually ran across the water to get out.

I was offered a room; I wasn’t going to move here, but hey, may as well see what they are offering

They showed me a room with a bed, A/C, a shower and the view of someone else’s roof, I could have this for the princely sum of 25 quid a night, not bad, but a lot more than I was paying back at silver sands, so I said ‘thanks, but no thanks’

The price suddenly dropped to 20 quid, then 15 quid, I still said ‘No’ ...
