11/11 Corfu

We left the ship late and spent some time using the Port's free wifi. We were heading to the bus stop to take a bus into town when we ran into an enterprising taxi driver. He was waiting at the bus stop instead of in the line of taxis looking for €100 fares to tour the island. He offered us a €10 trip to the historic district and the same back. We found ...

... We debated our options: go to the ship doctor; take some anti-biotics; or try to get treatment ashore. Ed of course opted to keep it simple, and he started on an AZ pack (Azythromycin). This was built by and Austrian empress in the late 1800s - and it really was very beautiful. During the war it was used as a hospital and later as an orphanage before it was restored for tourists to view. We drove through the main town and by this stage it was so wet we decided to return to the ship and warm up and have ...

Day 46 - Corfu Greek Island
This morning we were up early to participate in a behind the scenes ship tour we signed up for. There was only room for a maximum of 40 passengers. The cost of the tour was about 35pp. Toby had complained about having to pay to tour the ship. On the P&O it is free. Anyway I wanted to do it so i signed us up. This morning we both reluctantly rolled out of bed and met the tour group at the theatre. We learnt about the ...
