... Greek wine and their local Ouzo. I ate Pastitsia, a pie with layers of pasta and meat but I kept eating Stee's dinner of this fish cooked in peppers and onions. Vance doesn't do fish so he had a harder time with the menu options. Everyone was in a great mood so we ended up just sitting and talking and laughing and drinking and eating for quite awhile.
Corfu, Ionian Islands, Greece mylifesjourney... I employed my Italian skills to find the right place to go. They employed their English skills to go where I went. Then there's the CA couple that I ate lunch with one day, that also were on the shuttle with us. There's the little Italian couple that I met at the Meringue Party, who I danced with the woman for 2 or 3 songs. There's the couple that sat on the balcony with me during the official cruise send off, who helped me climb up to the balcony -- okay, actually it was a ...
Corfu Town, Ionian Islands, Greece josiezim... it looked like they were kung fu kicking in slow motion and they walked like this for nearly half a block. Our thighs ached on their behalf.
Olympia next stop and we enjoyed sitting on the water’s edge at a café enjoying the scenery and atmosphere of the quaint seaside town.
Story continued on next blog, as either Robyn the official blog writer is writing too much or Chris the official blog photographer is taking too many pictures!!!!!!!!!!!!
... on a chair no sleep with so many weird looking passengers seriously it was like the waiting room for hell.
So we tried and tried to get sleep but the crossing was terrible the boat was up and down and up and down. Just as I thought I was going to sleep this man came stumbling into the room with a cigarette and a cheap bottle of cider looking for his wife shouting her name when he found her he hit her over the head with the bottle and said some random things to ...
... But it was a lot of fun when we got there (although so dodgy, no long pants or gloves or safety talk or anything) and think I was champion of the girls ha.
After that just went and sat on the beach and chatted to people and enjoyed the niceness of it all. Was such a cute place and a lovely night. And we spent our last night sleeping on the boats which was very sad because we'd had such an amazing time. But no time to be sad cause next morning we were off to Athens!
... the bus full of our grocery bags and headed for the port. We didn't have too long to wait before boarding the ship and had actually pretty good little rooms. Dean, Dangerous Dave and I shared a little cabin and we had a tasty dinner on board the ship. After din dins we went up on deck and enjoyed the amazing sunset and chatted and chillaxed. It was such a nice night. We had cabin chats and then it was time for bed.
Next morning we were up bright and ...
... they spend a lot of time relaxing, because they live on an island. I have only one dislike. The water was too cold and dirty for my taste, but there are a lot of swimming pools around, so I didn't need to swim in the open. This journey was a fun journey and I will never forget it.

... have some pretty rotted teeth by Christmas. I can't read my tube of Romanian tooth paste, but I'm pretty sure it just gives basic care, none of this 24-hour whitening, tartar control stuff, and my Macedonian toothbrush lacks a swivel head or special bristles to clean and massage my gums, but it cost less than a dollar. Woe is my dental hygiene! I make it back to Gjirokastra in time for my hot date. My host at the bed and breakfast Kotoni, who is old ...
Butrint, Albania kally563... roadside vantage point. Turning off the engine for a moment, all I could hear was the sound of birds and the cicadas. Further up the road still, I passed through the village of Strinylas where elderly Greeks sat on chairs in the street and my passing was noted with interest. I raised my hand to a few of them by way of greeting and they returned the gesture with a smile. Still, I felt guilty about driving through, disturbing the peace with the engine's high ...
