The plane from Athens to Mykonos sat far away from the terminal and required us to board a bus and then climb a metal stairway that had been rolled to the airplane. Mykonos is known for its nude beaches, but alas, unlike Mr. Buffett's low tide, none were discovered. It appears the beaches are outside of the downtown area, beyond our walking range. Better luck in Corfu.
... there are some sales. We saw some beautiful Italian clothes in a shop which the woman has owned for 35 years. For dinner, we ate at a restaurant H & E had been to a couple of nights ago which was very good. I think the prices (for food ) are okay...about $50 which included 2 Cosmopolitans. ... and yelling and when the group of us converge on him it actually looks really bad with all us crowding around this guy yelling. I even started to have my doubts when on of the girls reaches into his pockets and in one grab pulls out 3 phones and a camera! Then it becomes quite clear this scum bag was a thief. He gets all the stuff taken out of his pockets but then a bar staff comes over and starts trying to get him free not realizing what had happened. The guy bolts then ...
... the castle ruins/ part of the town, then found a bar that was high up. Here i had a cocktail and watched the sun set. I then went looking for a place to eat. I found a nice place that had good food, and free WiFi. I ate dinner and facebooked mum and dad who were having their hast day in New york. After dinner i went to another bar, had a drink, walked around the area and then returned to the hotel/hostel. Here i
talked to various roommates and then went to bed.
