First off, we were so happy to not be haggled by people left and right like in Morocco. Secondly, the hotel we were staying at was top notch. They surprised us and gave us the nicest room in the place with the biggest balcony right …
... so sapped from the wind that we decided to return to the ship. A tender was just arriving as we reached the dock, so it was a short wait. The return trip was bouncy – at one point, water came through the dodger above the driver, and he became soaked. We were fine – though choked by diesel fumes – at the back.
On board, we had a small salad each, eating, as we have done, in our suite – might was well take advantage of having a table and comfortable seats ...
... going to get around. Our guide, Kylie, tells us when and where we need to be and she handles the details of getting us off to our next adventure.
Like I said in the last post, I am here to eat, drink and get a tan. It's been lovely to not have to think about anything else.
... more running to this museum or that cathedral. It's time to spend my days beachside and my nights eating delicious Greek food followed by maybe a little too much drinking. Then wake up and do it all again.
Looks like life in the Greek Islands is going to be pretty rough ;)
This journey was a day sailing so we sunbathed on top deck all day, it got a bit too windy and I lost my top! :( Myknos was lovely, very Greek! White buildings, little harbour and town. We wandered about the shops, which surprisingly there were a few high street shops like pandora and accessorise! We stopped at a bar and had cocktails of course, nice sitting in the sun ...
