... we headed to Pyrgos and from here up to the highest point on Santorini – the Monastery of Prophet Ilias. the view from here appears to go forever. My main observation after our strenuous day of walking the day before was that climbing mountains is easier in a car.

It took us almost an hour to reach the village of Imerovigli, another town perched impossibly on the top of the cliffs. Although there was nothing open in this town except the supermarket, this allowed us to get the water we needed (but not the coffee stop we craved...)

We were told that the walk to Oia is two hours, but the literature (once we read it) said 3 hours. We took more than four ...

Now, imagine it's 530am, I'm trashed, I'm sure jake is, yet, I got on
the scooter and proceeded to hang onto Jake's body for dear life. At
one point I thought it would be a idea to take a picture while he was
riding it...and that concludes day two.

Still here still here. Ahhh!! Why is it so hard to leave I do not know. Actually it's pretty easy to figure out. Help! This was probably a bad choice, and the travel agent told us so, but Joe insisted that we see Ios, also known by the Irish as "Irish Over Seas". Maybe during the summer, but near winter?
