August 28th – The Home Stretch
Yesterday was our last full day in Gaspesie. We've really liked the whole area, and would like to visit it again very soon. The Bonaventure River, a beautifully clear and cold salmon river, joins the Baie de Chaleur with a wonderful mix of fresh and saltwater conditions. In the end, despite how cheap Miramichiers are (if it’s 50 cents they’ll ask if they can have it for 25 cents – oh please, just take it for heaven’s sake), I made almost $200. Completing our wildlife roster
Given the recent dry spell, we decided to skip the falls at Grand Falls and just drive on towards the national park. In Chatham (part of Miramichi), we stopped for a picnic lunch and some playground time and then drove on.

I must admit that i like being busy and the pace is much nicer than when I am running back and forth between my office, the ice and the lounge. I have a great job but I am not certain how well I would do if it was 12 months of the year - mind you, if that was the case, I probably would have shorter hours!
