    ... cream cones, boat-to-boat!

    The kids got their fill of the Ringo (tube) riding - with Adam pulling them around for about 2 hours. We fished (caught nothing), and got many pics of the kids, Ryan and Kristy jumping off the top deck of the boat. It was a peaceful, fun, beautiful cove, and a great relaxing way to spend the last full day.

    ... the feeling, and thankfully if anyone understands the frustration of not being able to exercise, it's them. So I felt better, even though I also felt like a whiner.

    We headed to the marina to dock for the next two nights. Kos is a lively island with lots of activity, and the adults decided to head to town after dinner on the boat. We found a cute bar, enjoyed some cocktails and great conversation. It was nice to have grown-up ...

    ... so we went on the beach linked to the hotel and had a very enjoyable swim and sat enjoying the sun. Another lovely day in paradise.Friday we had a very early get up,packed our passports, visas and Euros and off we went to Kos in Greece. We were picked up at 7.30am near our villa and after quite a few pick ups we ended up in the town centre where Daniel and Gill were waiting.     ... in the middle of the median strip adjacent to the marina - and they had a ball! We then went for dinner at a fairly average restaurant serving grilled meats and mezze, and all agreed that last nights was the best we've eaten here. After dinner - another look around the shops where Mitch was offered money by at least 4 shopkeepers for his footy - and had a kick through the market area with at least 3 of those. ...

    ... and a well-preserved amphitheater from the 4th and 5th century BC. We were highly amused by the contrast between the outdoor ruins and the modern turnstile and ticketing system they have in place for the tourists who visit. Annie and I giggled like schoolgirls at the Turkish language that prompted a person through the turnstile when the ticket's barcode was read by the machine. It sounded like "Go ahead *****es."
