... more emotions than we ever thought possible:
This picture won a Pulitzer Prize in 1994. It was taken by Kevin Carter during the famine in Sudan.
The picture depicts a famine-stricken child.
What if this was your child?
He is crawling toward a United Nations food camp located a kilometer away.
Your refrigerator is located in the next room.
He is crawling because he is dying. He ...
... can work wonders. She always taught me how important family is and that, no matter what, family will always come first and always be there. My dad has provided me with more wisdom and advice than I can even begin to put into words. He has taught me that, though patience is not my virtue, it is a virtue and something so important in life. They both taught me what it feels like to receive unconditional and unwavering love from someone because that is what I have ...
Kolding, Jutland, Denmark meluebke... addition, since the G**mans in s**vice positions are not ov**ly friendly to start with, it was strange to not discuss the time of day with ev**yone who sold me anything. I also had trouble with the food - such rich West**n food made my stomach quite queasy - Ghanaian food is spicy and oily, but quite simple. I was really not used to dairy and animal fat. B**lin is a pretty impressive city - full of history but v**y mod**n, and with so many things for a tourist to do, that 5 ...
Aarhus, Central Jutland, Denmark emmavSilkeborg was a beautiful little city built around it's river. It had walking paths by the river, and in the summer had river cruises. Such a pretty place. One thing that caught our attention was the garages for boats, complete with roller doors and all.
Silkeborg, Jutland, Denmark danandrozAnother viking museum called Moesgard. Fantastic. There was also a forest walk that was replanted in various sections with trees that grew in different time periods of Denmarks history. One section was planted with trees from one particular era, and another section with another era, etc. You'd call it a giant open-air flora museum. It was beautiful, even in winter. There were also things like an iron age house and a stone age barrow and a more recent fishermans house etc.
Arhus, Central Jutland, Denmark danandroz... has discovered and become heavily involved with meditation, now teaching it too, so we had a lot to talk about, given the big difference meditation has made in my own life over the last 20 odd years. Like me this has set him forward on an irreversible course of self discovery and self growth, and like me this has become theee defining aspect of his life. So we talked deeply about where our lives were heading and what we wanted from ...

Aarhus, Denmark ariel_europe... him I had once been in the US, back in 1992, and that I had not been impressed that much. Of all the countries I had visited it belonged to those which least exerted a pull on me to once return there. Somehow it didn't quite strike a chord within me. "I prefer countries like, say, Denmark." "Yes." - he answered. "I know we're here living in a small, well-to-do country, not too crowded, peaceful and safe. But..." And then he veered off into explaining how taxes in Denmark were ...

Aarhus, Denmark beritmette... Simon parents and actually met a lot of local Danish bar patrons. The Danish have to be the nicest people I have met in my travels. Every bar we went into we met another interesting, easy-to-talk-to local and 90% of the time they would buy us a drink (drinks in Denmark are not cheap!) Jess & Simon´s wedding party consisted of Chelise, Me, his parents and 2 ladies we met at one of the bars and Jess invited them to the wedding! Once again an example of ...
