... We picked out a cute little restaurant in a square just off the busiest roads. There we had another fabulous meal. Greek salad, amazing grilled mushrooms (no idea what kind, but they looked like fans), and a house “special” – feta wrapped in bacon and eggplant. Seriously, that was the best thing we’ve eaten here. We were sad to find out that this wasn’t a traditional Greek dish as one of the ladies at the shop ...
... all the Greek people have been the restaurant owners were great. Apart from a slip down the stairs, we had a great night capped off by a classic taxi driver. The next day we signed up to see more of the islands which included a great view of 'Thira' (Santorini's main island), a climb up the active volcano, a swim in the hot "springs" ( more like a warm Murray river), swim at little Fira and its clear waters and finally finishing ...
... and waited on the tow line for everyone else to get in. Without our snorkels we were forced to decide to either waste air (Brad) or suck water (Jen). When everyone got in, we finally descended.
After being in Egypt, the dive was definitely disappointing. There was a few schools of fish (black, purple & orange, yellow & purple), what looked like water centipedes, occasional sea sponges, one anemone, and one big black and white fish. ...
Tried the Raki...came short of splurting it out! You know the feeling...reading later 80%!!! Made from grape skin & twigs left over from stomping...new meaning of Dregs!
