... wide with the walls towering a hundred feet above us in places. The wind blew through the narrow channel along with a very strong current that required me to use 2200 RPM to keep us moving at a reasonable speed. Soon the other end was in sight and we motored through into the bay. We found a small nondescript marina and tied up alongside. We would stay here for a few days and investigate the town of Korinth.

The resort has two long jetties on both sides so even if the sea gets rough people can still swim in calm waters. What I love with this resort is that there are several options of different spots where one can swim. There are sandy shallow coves, pebbled ones and it is the other alternative of swimming outside the jetty which is my favorite and it is the one opposite the Grill Restaurant.

Our Stay at the Resort

Loutraki is only an hour’s drive from Athens and we came here a little after 11:00 am.

Reception: The staff was very polite and we were immediately made welcomed. Zeta was the lady who gave me the first pieces of useful information of the round area but Yianni was the one whom I got ...

... over. These people are super hosts as Kathy and I ask questions, ask for directions, and ask for explanations and use just the very few Greek words that we know. This truly makes traveling and experiencing new customs and culture so wonderful.

We return to the Hotel about 10:30 pm, Kathy talked to Tyler on Skype, used the telephone to talk with her parents, my mom was out, but she left a message. All in all a great day here in Greece. Oh yeah, the Fossil museum, ...

... sigh of relief and got ready for our bus ride. To our complete surprise we were kicked off at the end of the line less than five minutes later, perhaps a mile from where we got on. We got off, snapped a few pictures of a baller lion statue quick, and got on the bus again. We were idiots and went in the wrong direction.

Now on the correct bus, we sat and enjoyed the scenery for a half hour as the bus drove us to beautiful Perama. Piraeus is the gorgeous suburb of Athens. Perama ...
