... pick which yacht. We booked our sailing trip for 60 euro each. We set sail at 10am. Troy looked happy like a pig in mud. The boat was an Atlantic 55 called “Rainbow”. We sailed around parts of Skiathos and Skopelos and had a few swim stops. We saw the Kastani beach where part of Mamma Mia was filmed but we didn’t go to close in. I think it was the beach scene where “Does your mother know scene”. We stopped at Glossa and had lunch ...
... of gold are in the sand. The best one and most known is Koukounaries Beach which means 'Stone Pines'. At Koukounaries there is a lagoon and a wooded peninsula with a Stone Pine
(Pinus pinea) forest separating the lagoon from the Aegean Sea.
It is said that Princess Diana used to go to Skiathos for holidays. I'm not surpirsed to be honest.
I really recommend you a film called "Mamma Mia!". Some of the scenes weher shot in Skiathos.
... of tomatoes, which I love but Dave hates…I think it will be very different at the conference, they always try to impress. The olives are fantastic and the wine from Thessaloniki area is very good…there is a wine cheese reception that we are looking forward to at the conference. More later…love to all.
Did I mention how delicious the olives are?...mmmm, so good!
... answers...now he suggests a jeep instead..(tired of answering our calls I think!) ..he comes up and exchanges the jeep for the ATV, but since we had just put more petro in we follow him back so he can siphon off the gas and put it into our jeep...Greeks are very flexible people...Petro is more than $10/gallon so we were not going to leave it in the ATV!!!
Anyway...we are having a great time and seeing incredible things...hope you enjoy the pictures..
