    ... land. I went along with terry and Lara and we set about collecting buckets of walnuts. It's one of the 4 major agriculture crops here in lake county. (The other 3 are pears, cannabis and grapes) Lara told me today that walnuts only became a major crop here in California in the days of prohibition, before that grapes were the main crop for most land owners.     ... is time to go home.

    Nearly 4000 miles of travel. Over two dozen destinations. Still, today is our final day and by this time tomorrow, we will be back in our town of Capitola, and I will be back in my spacious cage in Alan’s big house.

    ... we washed and dried the outsides of the bottles, put the caps on and boxed them. When we moved on to the new bottles, made in France, we had four stickers to put on them: The Le Vin logo and info, an organic olives/pressed by monks message and a limited reserve seal for the lemon olive oil. It was really good. We tried some on crackers.

    We had grilled cheese sandwiches with avocado and tomato at 3:00. Our English girl had never had grilled cheese before! ...

    ... few feet of floor area and uncover a few surfaces for our four-person party later. Matt and I spotted one of the wild hogs that roams these hills wrecking havoc. We also got the binoculars and watched a pair of colorful woodpeckers up a very holey tree. We kicked the soccer ball around for a while. Then we joined Jen on the rim of the hot tub and talked about our futures and a little Harry Potter trivia.
