Today we combined a Hop On - Hop Off city bus tour with a visit to the Mercedes-Benz Museum that was on the route. However, when we arrived to get on the bus at the starting point 20 minutes early the bus was already full, so we needed a 1 hour wait for the next bus. We were surprised to see a large crowd, and food vendors gathered for their summer festival. We made our way through the crowds toward the band stand. The singer and musicians, who were very good, were playing familiar American music sometimes singing in English and sometimes in German. There ...

As an American living in Germany there are many unexpected things I've observed and learned, and I decided to put together a list of ten things you probably didn't know about Germany.

    1. Germans follow the rules
Germans follow the rules. If there is a crosswalk and the sign says do not cross and there are no cars to be seen, the right thing to do is stand there until the sign turns green. After ...
