The same security offic** poked at the edge of my bag, laughed at my box of instant fufu, and then let me go without actually checking my bag much at all. I then moved to the departure gate, wh**e only about 8 people w**e waiting to leave - I nev** did figure out wh**e ev**yone else went in those int**vening 3 hours! And then the wait began... Despite checking in ridiculously early, our plane still took off half an hour late!

It was a bit odd walking around in subtropic temperatures in Denmark, with snakes and monkeys around.
And yay...I got to pat a snake:-D

Silkeborg was a beautiful little city built around it's river. It had walking paths by the river, and in the summer had river cruises. Such a pretty place. One thing that caught our attention was the garages for boats, complete with roller doors and all.
Silkeborg, Jutland, Denmark danandrozAnother viking museum called Moesgard. Fantastic. There was also a forest walk that was replanted in various sections with trees that grew in different time periods of Denmarks history. One section was planted with trees from one particular era, and another section with another era, etc. You'd call it a giant open-air flora museum. It was beautiful, even in winter. There were also things like an iron age house and a stone age barrow and a more recent fishermans house etc.
Arhus, Central Jutland, Denmark danandroz... fish for her. I put too much soya bean paste and was rather salty. Bad attempt. I cooked tomato prawns . Highly commended. Haha. Taught by my teacher - Lide. Thanks to his recipe. Now my Hong Kong friends were asking for the recipe. Ming, Andrew, Phoebe and Kit from Hong Kong, Doreen from Denmark and Gerald joined us for the reunion dinner. Gerald bought fried noodles , Doreen bought down some soft drinks and beer, and the rest ...
Aarhus, Denmark ariel_europe... and applying moisturizer. Oh btw, I managed to finish showering before the sensor light turned off today. Got to learn to shower faster. Lessons learnt: Never wet tissue paper to clean dirt on your chair (made of cloth) because the wet tissue paper will crease and make it worse. Look on your LEFT first then RIGHT before crossing the road. Danish walks really fast. The pedestrian crossing green light man always changes while we are still walking. haha. We have learned to walk faster too.
Aarhus, Denmark ariel_europe... and enjoyed watching two of the employees make a monster snowman out front.
The view out of our apartment is of the large treed lot behind us. Decked out in snow it was very pretty. We have found all of what we need for Scout's arrival and his flight has been confirmed. We can't wait for him to join us...
... We managed to find everything that we were looking for at a comparable cost. Premade food is very expensive but fresh food is very well priced, even in the "expensive" food store. In fact, the veggies are so fresh that they still have dirt on them. The veggies are a normal size, no additives here, and sold by package not weight. This makes it much easier both from a cost and portion perspective. Not to mention that you cannot fit much in the fridge which is very narrow and quite long. So we ...
Randers, Denmark gkpedro... The dorm that I am in is super sick and is in a huge dorm area. There are about 1000 people that live here so its going to be a lot of fun to say the least! Last night was a big party here and they also have a type of club/rec area for everyone. I didn't end up getting to sleep until about 5am haha. so i guess i had a pretty good birthday. I have spent the day just setting up my room a little and now I am pretty tired. The city ...
