    ... Museum. This museum was a perfect size - large enough to be really interesting but not so large that it becomes overwhelming. It had many of the artifacts from the theatre and the city, making it possible to see the actual statues and several other antiquities of the same time period.

    We finished by heading back to our hotel and then walking through the downtown to an outdoor restaurant for another Turkish ...

    Another 5 hours of driving brought us to the Turkish coast and the city of Anatolya. We had to go over the Taurus Mountain range, which looks surprisingly similar to heading to Squaw - lots of rocks and fir trees. The only difference was that every now and then we would see tents with herders and their goats. Other than that, the highway was quite well built and maintained.

    Antalya is the tourist capital of Turkey with a population of approximately 1.3 million people in the winter which blows out to about 7 millions in the summer. This seaside city is on the mediterranean coast with many bars and restaurants overlooking the water. We stayed at the Argos Hotel and were lucky enough to get a poolside room.     It was a slow day today. Rhonda headed over to the archeological museum and I took it easy. Did some wandering around the cobbled backstreets and found a few trinkets to buy. And lots of good photo opportunities. When she returned we did more wandering. Found some tiles we will have framed for our TV/travel room. Rhonda got sucked into getting her shoes shined, quickly followed by me! Had a relaxing drink ...
